TikPro respects copyright and expects its users to do the same. If you own the rights to a work, or represent a rights holder, and believe it is being used through TikPro without authorization, use the form below or write to copyright@tikproapp.com.
How TikPro works
TikPro processes public posts from the link a user pastes into the app. We do not host content permanently: files prepared for a user are kept on our servers for 24 hours (previews for 1 hour) and then deleted. We only cache the metadata of public posts, such as the caption, author name and handle, thumbnails and counters.
Since the post remains on the original platform, we recommend that you also notify that platform so the content can be removed there.
Who can send a notice
The rights holder or an agent authorized to act on their behalf.
What the form asks for
- full name;
- email address;
- organization (optional);
- whether you are the rights holder or an authorized agent;
- a description of the copyrighted work;
- the link (URL) of each post on the original platform, one per line, up to 10;
- additional details (optional);
- two statements you must tick:
- that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
- that the information is accurate and, under penalty of law (including perjury, where applicable), you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf;
- an electronic signature: type your full name.
The data you send is handled under our Privacy Policy.
What happens next
After you send the notice, you will see a confirmation with a ticket number. Our team reviews each notice and aims to send a first answer within 5 business days [TO BE CONFIRMED]. If any information is missing, we may ask you for more details.
We may forward the notice to the affected user, without your personal data beyond what is needed [TO BE CONFIRMED].
What we do on a valid notice
- we stop the post from being processed by TikPro and, when appropriate, the same author's other posts too;
- we remove the post from Trendy;
- we delete any files and metadata of it that we still hold;
- we take action on the user accounts involved.
Counter-notice and appeal
If one of these actions affected you and you believe it was a mistake (for example, because you own the rights or have a license to use the work), write to copyright@tikproapp.com explaining why and, if possible, sending supporting evidence. We will review the request and may restore access when appropriate.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright will be suspended or terminated, as set out in the Terms of Use.
Abusive or false notices
This procedure exists to protect rights holders. Sending abusive or knowingly false notices may result in legal liability for the sender.
Reports inside the app
TikPro users can also report a post inside the app, on the Details → Report screen, by choosing a reason: copyright, sexual content, violence, hate, harassment, spam or other.
Legal basis
This procedure takes into account Brazil's Copyright Law (Lei nº 9.610/1998) and Angola's Copyright and Related Rights Law (Lei n.º 15/14). For rights holders in other countries, it is inspired by the procedure of the United States DMCA (17 U.S.C. §512).
